Bashir Mohamed Mohamud, an American businessman of Somalian origin, was discovered dead on Saturday, a week after he went missing.
His relatives positively recognized his remains when it was discovered at a mortuary in Kirinyaga County.
The businessman was last seen on May 13 at an entertainment nightclub in Nairobi’s Lavington neighborhood.
His car was later discovered burned in the Kibiku neighborhood of Ngong, Kajiado County.
Even though the circumstances behind Mohamud’s death remain unknown, his family has vowed to seek justice and ensure culprits are apprehended.
Bashir worked as a construction engineer, and had been hired to complete a government project in Kisumu in 2020.
His business was involved in civil engineering, real estate, and architecture.
