Police in Kitengela have detained a 27-year-old boda boda rider in connection with the kidnapping and horrific murder of Shantel Nzembi, an eight-year-old child.
Livingston Makacha Otengo, the suspect, was apprehended at the Kitengela bus stop after he was discovered in possession of a mobile phone that was used to call the victim’s mother and demand a Ksh 300,000 ransom.
County Criminal Investigations Officer Isaac Meme stated that the rider was being questioned and that they were chasing the main suspect, a lady thought to be a member of the group who kidnapped the girl.
