Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has agreed to a three-year contract extension.
Tuchel was appointed Chelsea manager earlier this year when Frank Lampard left the club, and he signed an 18-month contract with the west London team.
However, the German has had a tremendously successful start to his tenure at Chelsea, directing them to a Champions League victory and a top-four finish in the Premier League, and he has been rewarded for his efforts with a contract extension until 2024.
“Chelsea Football Club is very happy to confirm that, following our triumph in the Champions League, Thomas Tuchel’s contract has been extended by two years, as agreed when he joined the Club.” The club said in a statement.
Chelsea under Tuchel reached the FA Cup final where a single Leicester City goal defeated us, but silverware was captured two weeks later when Manchester City were beaten by an impressive all-round team display in Porto.
