John Madanji, a well-known Luo musician, is demanding justice for his wife, who was murdered in cold blood by unknown assailants in Greenspan, Donholm last night.
Madanji claims he was in Kisumu when he learned that his wife Emmaculate Akoth had been shot and killed.
Madanji told Ghetto Radio News that he was horrified to learn of his wife’s death and had to fly from Kisumu to Nairobi to mourn her death.
Emmah’s friend Elizabeth Otieno, who witnessed the murder, said at around 8.pm thee duo was accosted by thugs.
In the midst of the commotion, the late Emmah was shot as the thugs made away with her belongings.
According to Otieno, she raced to the hospital but was told to first report the incident to the police.
“When I went to the police I asked them to go help my friend who had been shot and was unconscious. They told me that she has already been taken to Mama Lucy Hospital,” says Otieno.
The thugs made away with 24,000 shillings from the woman.
