Interior boss Fred Matiangi has ordered the rapid deployment of Special Forces to help end banditry.
In a press statement on the security situation in Laikipia, the Minister urged those grazing on people’s ranches to vacate the area.
He ordered security agents, who could include elite security forces to ruthlessly deal with the bandits.
Matiangi stopped short of issuing a shoot to kill order in a bid to restore calm in the area.
