Nakuru Gun-Runner Arrested

Thousands of Spent bullets were found in his possession

Police are holding a man in Nakuru over claims of illegally dealing in arms.

The suspect, John Mbuthia, 33 is a scrap metal dealer and was arrested in the Langa Langa area after locals raised alarm over suspicious luggage in his yard.

This was after thousands of spent bullet cartridges were recovered together with copper wires suspected to have been vandalized from Kenya power transformers.

Police suspect that the man is the chief armorer to criminals.

A woman who is said to be the mastermind of the trade is at large as police intensify her pursuit.

The suspect will be arraigned in a Nakuru law court
