Samantha Lewthwaite, alias ‘White Widow,’ a notorious British terrorist, is said to have split up with her Somali mercenary spouse and escaped to Yemen.
Samantha has been living with her fourth husband Hassan Maalim Ibrahim in a ‘no-go’ area of Somalia for seven years, according to the UK’s Daily Mirror, which cites Somali security sources.
The 38-year-old was married to one of the suicide bombers in the London bombings on July 7, 2005, and then to Habib Ghani, a British bomber-maker who was slain in Somalia in 2013.
Abdi Wahid, a former Kenyan navy officer who became a terrorist and whose whereabouts are unknown, was her third husband.
Samantha, a British soldier’s daughter, fled the UK for South Africa in 2009, and her whereabouts have been tracked through Tanzania, Mombasa, and finally Somalia.
After being linked to the 2013 Westgate Mall attack in Nairobi, which killed 66 people and injured over 200 more, she was placed on Interpol’s red list.
She then fled to Somalia, where she was implicated in the lethal Garissa University attack in 2015.
The mother of four reportedly underwent plastic surgery to conceal her identity and go unnoticed, including gaining weight, concealing her blue eyes, and wearing a hijab veil and gloves.
