Archbishop Anthony Muheria has urged leaders to stop profiteering from the dead.
Muheria, of Nyeri Archdiocese and the Chair of the Inter Faith Council on Covid-19 mitigation, said the exploitation of the dead, and death must stop.
He says the habit is akin to trading in Church and said this must stop.
He urged entrepreneurs to look beyond bereavement for business and described the practice as insensitive to the extreme.
He said cupidity for money is the reason society is at cross roads and said amassing billions in the pretext of a better tommorow is a waste of time.
“You need only so much. Poor, rich, privileged or otherwise. You are the children, men and women of God”, Muheria said.
