Nzioka Waita, the Machakos Governor candidate met COTU boss Francis Atwoli at his Kajiado home.
During his visit, the duo discussed ways of partership in improving the welfare of workers in Machakos.
Nzioka has made the welfare of Machakos workers a key cog in his campaign.
He said he will ensure factories operating in Machakos are protected to enhance their capacity.
Waita said value addition will be a key to his administration and committed to ensure legitimate traders blossom.
He said he will make Machakos County the bedroom of Kenya, where all communities live and work harmoniously.
“Our campaign is premised on the dint of the constitution that allows Kenyans to work, live and go about their lives unhindered” Waita said.
