Wiper Leader Hon Kalonzo Musyoka hosted President Uhuru Kenyatta for dinner on Friday at his residence in Nairobi.
The Head of State was in the company of KANU Chairman Gideon Moi in the evening visit to the former vice President’s home. The three are said to have had a lengthy talk, lasting over five hours.
“The Leaders discussion centred on the current political situation in the Country with the three affirming their full commitment and support to the candidature of Hon. Raila Odinga of the Azimio-One Kenya.” a statement from Kalonzo Musyoka’s communication team noted.
The meeting comes just one week after Kalonzo threw his weight behind Azimio la Umoja coalition bringing together President Kenyatta’s Jubilee, Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s ODM and Moi’s KANU alongside 20 other political outfits.
The coalition leaders under the stewardship of President Kenyatta, the patron of the new alliance, later staged a huge political rally at the historic Jacaranda grounds in Embakasi, where Kalonzo announced he had dropped his bid for Presidency in favour of Raila.
