Following the resignations of four Cabinet Secretaries who departed to enter politics, President Uhuru Kenyatta has secretly reorganized his Cabinet ministries.
With only 5 months left to the expiry of his term, it appears that President Kenyatta has decided not to appoint any new members.
Instead, the president has decided to give the remaining members of his Cabinet more responsibilities.
Former CS for Transport James Macharia has been assigned the Ministry of Water and Sanitation to replace Nyandarua Gubernatorial aspirant Sicily Kariuki.
Following the departure of Adan Mohammed, Transport CS Betty Maina has taken over operations at the Ministry of East African Community and Regional Development.
Eugene Wamalwa will take over from Charles Keter as the acting Devolution CS.
CS Energy Monica Juma will also serve in the Ministry of Petroleum and Mining, which was formerly led by John Munyes. Munyes resigned in order to run for Governor of Turkana.
