A suspected thug was Wednesday night shot and killed and his accomplice arrested in a botched robbery in Umoja area, Nairobi.
The incident happened at the junction of Manyanja Road when a gang of three was on a robbery spree.
Police say they were alerted and arrived at the scene before killing one suspect and arrested another one while one escaped on foot.
A homemade gun was found on the suspect before the body was moved to the mortuary.
Police say they have enhanced operations in the city to address cases of armed robberies in the city.
This include more deployments and enhanced patrols.
