According to the Ministry of Health, four people have tested positive for COVID-19 out of 2,488 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe said in a statement on Sunday that the country’s positivity rate has dropped to 0.2 percent from 0.3 percent on Saturday.
“Three of the cases involve Kenyans, while one involves a foreigner.” There are two males and two females. “The youngest is 38 years old, and the oldest is 65,” Kagwe explained.
Out of 3,527,127 tests conducted so far, this brings the total number of cases recorded since the virus hit the country in 2020 to 323,454.
Nairobi County is home to all four cases.
In addition, CS Kagwe mentioned 14 recoveries, all of which came from the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.
The total number of recoveries is 317,685, with 264,670 coming from the Home-Based Care and Isolation program and 53,015 from other facilities.
There have been no new deaths, bringing the total number of fatalities to 5,648.
