Governor Alfred Mutua of Machakos has dropped out of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition to join Kenya Kwanza, the coalition led by Deputy President William Ruto.Â
Mutua claims he made the decision after Azimio failed to make the coalition agreement signed with affiliate parties public despite his threats to file a lawsuit.
Mutua has been complaining about mistrust in the Azimio coalition of President Uhuru Kenyatta and its presidential candidate Raila Odinga since last week.Â
“Yes, we are joining Kenya Kwanza, and I will be speaking at a press conference this (Monday) morning,” Mutua said over the phone to Capital FM News.
Mutua’s decision to join Kenya Kwanza was first announced on Twitter by Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula.
