The Kenya Kwanza Alliance top brass was all smiling on Saturday as its leader, Deputy President William Ruto, presented himself at the Bomas of Kenya to seek clearance to run in the August 9 polls.
Ruto had held a brief meeting at his Karen residence, before proceeding to Bomas.
In the waiting lobby, banners were seen carrying Ruto’s photo in the party’s signature yellow and green colours and with the inscription, “Hustler nation”.
Ruto was accompanied by his running mate, Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua.
Ready to receive him at Bomas was ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, Kandara MP Alice Wahome, UDA secretary general Veronica Maina, among others.
