Police are investigating an incident in which a 78 year old woman was found dead in her house in Nyayo estate, Embakasi after a long bout of fasting.
The body of the woman was found in her bed long after she had gone missing.
Her relatives said she was alone and had been fasting.
A register found in her house indicated she started fasting on May 18 on an intermediary basis.
The body was moved to the mortuary, where an autopsy is scheduled.
