Kitui Catholic Bishop Joseph Mwongela has urged the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to ensure a free and fair election.
Mwongela stated during the ordination of eight priests that rigging is outdated and must not happen.
“We must vote for peace and prosperity… only the winner of the Presidential ballot must be announced,” Mwongela said.
He went on to say that voters have the authority to ensure a peaceful election outcome by voting decisively.
