A manhunt is underway for a middle-aged man who escaped after killing his 11-year-old daughter and seriously injuring his son at Kilungu B village in Kibwezi, Makueni County.
According to the village administrator Willy Kalovya, the incident occurred at midnight on Saturday.
Apparently, the suspect, who was living in Kajiado County with his family, arrived at his rural home with his two children before things went wrong.
It has been established that he had disagreements with his wife, which resulted in the incident.
The injured boy was rushed to Kibwezi Sub-county hospital as detectives search for the man who is on the run.
