Kenyan sprinter Ferdinand Omanyala was eliminated from the 200m race at the Senior Africa Athletics Championships in Reduit, Mauritius, on Saturday.
Omanyala, who already has two gold medals, entered the 200m race hoping for a third.
However, the athlete finished third in heat seven, falling short of qualifying for the next round.
His performance in the 200m has him questioning whether he should stick to 100m races.
“Let me see what my team says because it is different and I am new to this so I’m taking it as it comes,” the sprinter said after the race.
Omanyala is well-known for his outstanding performance in 100m races, where he holds the record for the fastest African man.
