In the latest maximum price review by EPRA, the cost of all three petroleum products is set to climb by Ksh.9 per litre, effective from midnight Wednesday.

The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority’s (EPRA) latest increase in fuel prices is due to an increase in the landed cost of fuel imports in May.

The average landed cost of petrol, for example, increased by 5.96% from May, while the landed cost of diesel and kerosene increased by 10.96%.

Kerosene saw a 0.34 percent decrease in landed expenses.

The cost of all three has risen, with super petrol now costing Ksh.159.12 per litre in Nairobi, and diesel and kerosene costing Ksh.140 and Ksh.127.94, respectively.

Fuel subsidy, the cost of petroleum products would have registered a sharp increase by 25, 48 and 42 shillings for Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene respectively.
