Ganze MP completes Sh167 illion Stalled Projects.

Mr Mwambire has currently spent Sh167 million on school and dormitories projects that had stalled in the region.

Ganze MP Teddy Mwambire

Several years back, education infrastructure development in Ganze remained a pipe dream. But now the constituency has witnessed a rapid development of infrastructure, bringing back hopes for thousands of children who went under duress to study and prosper.

However, now Ganze MP Teddy Mwambire has completed almost all the stalled projects in the constituency that had stalled in the last regime.

Mr Mwambire has currently spent Sh167 million on school and dormitories projects that had stalled in the region.

Some of the projects were built and abandoned in 2007, and successive elected MPs ignored them in favor of their own initiatives.

When Mwambire took office in 2017 he opted to embark on the completion of all the projects that had stalled to ensure tax payer’s money is not lost.

Speaking at Vitengeni Baptist Secondary school in his constituency the legislator opened an ultramodern twin lab a project which was started by the then Joseph Kingi in 2007.

He also opened a modern dormitory which was also left uncompleted by one of his predecessors.

“We thought whenever one inherited projects which were not completed by the other legislator he would complete them before embarking on new ones but here in Ganze it was not the case for over 10 years they were not completed,” he said.

Mwambire said there were so many projects that cost over Sh. 167 million and each financial year the NG-CDF has Sh. 66 million or Sh. 67 million for projects which took him three years to complete the stalled projects.

He said during that period their focus was not just on completing the project but upgrading them to modern standards because students want to see modern projects.

Mwambire said the remaining few stalled projects will all be completed in July.

“We have completed a modern laboratory here and we are hopeful that it will boost the performance of the students who never used to have a laboratory,” he said.

The MP stated that there are two dispensary projects in Ganze’s Jila area, one of which was built by late MP Joseph Kingi and stalled, but his successor Francis Baya built a new one, which is now operational, indicating that some public money was wasted.

He explained that in the Migumo Miri area, the county government built a dispensary and the NG-CDF built another during the reign of Peter Shehe, resulting in two projects with no drugs or medical personnel.

“These were the challenges that some people feared when they complete stalled projects the one who initiated would come and claim to be the one who did it, but we said we stop such thoughts and complete all stalled projects for the betterment of the people of Ganze,” he said.

Mwambire stated that the NG-CDF funds should be increased, and that areas such as Ganze should be prioritized more than others due to infrastructure challenges.

Rashid Mjimba, Ganze Sub County Director of Education, who was also present, thanked the MP for investing heavily in the education sector.

Rashid stated that the infrastructure improvements would significantly improve the sub-educational county’s standards.

“The laboratory, the classrooms and the renovations going on, even the development of infrastructure when classrooms are upgraded it boosts the morale of teachers and students.

Parents’ representative Elias Mwanza praised the MP for his commitment to education infrastructure.

He urged the national government to increase NG-CDF funds in order to support more development.
