The National Police Service partnered with Special Olympics Kenya, the National Cohesion and Integration Committee (NCIC) among other stakeholders in echoing the message of peace during the Amani Torch Run flagging-off ceremony and lighting of the Flame of Hope at Moi International Sports Center Kasarani.
Speaking during the event, Mr. Edward Mbugua, who represented the Inspector General, NPS Mr. Hilary Mutyambai, appreciated all the partners, organizers, and sponsors for their efforts in ensuring the success of the event.
He emphasized that the National Police Service will play its role in ensuring that peace and tranquility prevail before, during, and after the upcoming General Elections.
Mbugua urged particularly the youth to avoid being manipulated to cause unrest.
