Kenyan Sexual Assault Fugitive Extradited To UK

The government of Kenya has finally extradited the fugitive criminal wanted at United Kingdom (UK) for various sexual offences.


Anthony Kamau has been on the run since 2005 after jumping a bail issued by UK based court after he was charged with sexually assaulting a minor in the United Kingdom.

The fugitive criminal is wanted at the Chelmsford Crown Court of the Great Britain and Northern Ireland to answer the charges of sexual harassment of minors contrary to the Law.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations(DCI) told the court that the Paedophile is reported to have severally sexually assaulted several girls aged 11 years and that he committed the heinous offenses in 2005.

The fugitive had also been charged with other four counts of engaging in non-penetrative sexual conduct with a girl in UK and another Count of inciting a minor to perform a sexual act.

According to the DCI report, the accused fugitive flew to Kenya in 2020 in an attempt to evade Justice.

He was however arrested on June 17,2022 by detectives from the DCI Transnational and Organized crime unit.

He was presented to court and extradition orders sought by the prosecution. The presiding Magistrate Micheni Wendy of Milimani Law courts allowed the extradition proceedings after the accused person failed to submit his objection to the extradition.
