Zhou In Horrific Crash At British F1 Grand Prix

Zhou Guanyu’s car flipped upside down after a collision with George Russell, causing the British Grand Prix to be red-flagged on the first lap.

The first race at Silverstone lasted only 21 seconds before marshals began waving red flags.

Zhou’s car spun and skidded along the circuit at high speeds before crashing into a barrier as a result of the collision, which involved several drivers.

Russell jumped out of his damaged Mercedes and dashed over to the stranded Alfa Romeo to check on his colleague racer.

Zhou was removed from the car after a few minutes, and Alfa Romeo confirmed.

Russell has dropped out of a race for the first time this season, ending his five-race winning streak. The incident also involved Yuki Tsunoda, Esteban Ocon, and Alexander Albon.

Replays revealed that Pierre Gasly collided with Russell’s car, causing the spinning Mercedes to collide with Zhou.

The Alfa flipped almost immediately and skidded towards the barrier before regaining airspeed and leaping over the tyre wall and into the spectator fence.

Meanwhile, on the first lap, a group of protestors stormed the track, despite the fact that racing had been halted before they reached the part of the track that had been invaded.

Following their removal from the track, the protestors were dealt with by marshals and police.
