Kenya recorded 194 new Covid-19 cases from a sample size of 2,319 tested in the previous 24 hours on Sunday. The current positivity rate is 8.4 per cent.
In a statement, Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe stated that 13 of the cases involve Kenyans and 64 involve foreigners.
According to Kagwe, the youngest is two months old and the oldest is 97 years old.
The total number of confirmed positive cases is now 334,443, and the total number of tests performed is 3,765,620.
Nairobi accounted for 162, Uasin Gishu for nine, Garrisa for six, Kiambu for four, Laikipia for four, Mombasa for two, Siaya for two, Bomet, Meru, Nakuru, Nyeri, and West Pokot for one each, according to him.
559 patients have recovered from the disease, 525 from the Home-Based and Isolation Care Program, and 34 from other health facilities across the country.
This brings the total number of recoveries to 325,385; 272,133 are from the Home-Based Care and Isolation program, while 53,252 are from various health facilities across the country.
One patient died from the disease, which was a late death, bringing the total number of fatalities to 5,656.
There are currently 126 patients admitted to health facilities, and 3,276 are enrolled in the Home-Based Isolation and Care program.
