Huddersfield Manager Carlos Corberan Quits

A club statement has confirmed his exit, with Leigh Bromby outlining events that have unfolded.

Huddersfield boss Carlos Corberan has resigned today amid concerns about the direction the Championship club is headed.

Corberan was appointed as Huddersfield head coach in 2020, keeping the Terriers in the Championship during a difficult 2020/21 campaign.

There was a remarkable improvement last season, though, with Corberan leading Huddersfield to third in the table and the play-off final. At Wembley, a Levi Colwill own goal secured Nottingham Forest a 1-0 win and route to the Premier League, leaving Huddersfield facing up to another year in the EFL.

With the Championship’s restart now only three weeks away, Corberan has taken the decision to leave Huddersfield along with Jorge Alarcón.
