The 13th General Assembly of the Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA) elected new members to the IUCEA Governing Board, as well as Prof. Calixte Kabera, Vice-Chancellor, East African University, Republic of Rwanda, as Chairperson for the next two years (2022-2024).
The General Assembly, IUCEA’s highest policy-making organ, is made up of Vice-Chancellors and Principals from Member Universities, representatives from Ministries in charge of Higher Education, and representatives from the private sector from the EAC Partner States.
The IUCEA Governing Board is responsible for providing oversight on all IUCEA operations and activities to ensure that the organization’s mandate is carried out effectively.
