Police are probing an incident where the body of an unidentified man was found in a river in Busia County.
Preliminary investigations show that the body was found floating in River Obekai in Teso South Constituency.
Speaking to local media, witnesses said the disfigured body was found by locals in the area.
“We could not identify the deceased upon retrieving it. He must have died a couple of days, if not weeks ago,” a resident said.
Police urged families that have reported cases of missing relatives to visit Alupe Hospital mortuary in a bid to have the body identified.
