ODM Chairman and Suba South Member of Parliament John Mbadi on Monday night escaped unhurt after his vehicle was involved in a grisly road accident.
The MP was on his way home at night from the launch of Siaya Senator James Orengo’s manifesto when the accident occurred.
Orengo is running for Siaya governor and launched his manifesto at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University in Bondo.
Taking to his Facebook, the outspoken lawmaker said he and all other occupants of the vehicle escaped the scene unhurt.
In the post, he thanked everyone who had expressed concerns after the accident and God for protecting them.
“Thanks, everyone for your concerns over the accident. While it was grisly, I’m happy to report that I and my crew left the scene unhurt and we thank God almighty,” he said.
“We are comforted by the prayers of the psalmist that, ‘Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”
Images seen by Uzalendo News show the MP’s vehicle was damaged on the left side, with most of the damage done on the co-driver’s door and the area adjacent to the front bumper.
Notably, the side mirror was knocked down and the front tyre was deflated.
However, Mbadi did not reveal the cause of the accident.
