Raila Odinga’s presidential petition that aims to ‘fight corruption cartels’ has finally been filed at the Supreme Court.
Mr Odinga and his co-petitioner Martha Karua are seeking 23 reliefs, including an order requiring an inspection of IEBC servers and an examination of rejected and spoilt votes.
They also want a forensic audit of the Kenya Integrated Elections Management System (Kiems) kits, the IEBC portal, and presidential election forms such as Forms 34A, 34B, and 34C.
Furthermore, an order for the invalidation of Ruto’s election be issued, and the IEBC be compelled to hold a new presidential election in strict accordance with the Constitution and Elections Act.
They argue that Mr Chebukati should not preside over a new election.
The pair is also requesting that the Director of Criminal Investigations, George Kinoti, be summoned to produce statements, photographs, reports, equipment, laptops, phones, and other gadgets, and any other material connected/related to the conduct of the elections and found in the possession of the Venezuelan nationals arrested at JKIA.
They also want Mr Kinoti summoned and ordered to produce the laptop(s) allegedly retrieved and seized from Koech Geofrey Kipngosos, a UDA party agent, as well as a report on the forensic analysis and examination of the laptop(s) and content.
