Karua Ordered To Apologize To Raila

According to the County MP, the coalition party received votes in the region due to the former Prime Minister's diligence and hard work.

A group of Mt Kenya leaders is now calling on Azimio running mate Martha Karua to apologize to coalition leader Raila Odinga.

Speaking after a thanksgiving service at Maua on Sunday, September 11, Murang’a Woman Representative Betty Maina said that the NARC Kenya party leader failed Raila Odinga and Azimio One Kenya Alliances Coalition because she could not deliver Kirinyaga county to Raila Odinga in the just concluded presidential election.

According to the County MP, the coalition party received votes in the region due to the former Prime Minister’s diligence and hard work.

“I have huge respect for women politics, But Martha Karua Owes Raila Odinga an apology. Because all the votes Raila Odinga got in Mt Kenya region during the just concluded presidential election he got them by his own efforts,” Maina said.

“Martha Karua is complaining and complaining claiming Ownership when she added nothing to Raila Odinga’s basket”. She added.

Githuka Kagombe, Member of Parliament (MP) for Gatundu South, condemned Karua’s move to seek redress at the East African Court of Justice over Kenya’s Supreme Court verdict upholding William Ruto’s victory.

Kagombe echoed Maina’s sentiments, adding that Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka had a stronger case to appeal the Supreme Court’s decision because he outdid himself by receiving over one million votes from his region.

“Martha Karua should just be content. I wish it was Kalonzo filing the case instead because she did not even have support from  her backyard

“Kenyans have already decided that this is the government they want to work with and she should stop politicking. It is time to work, not engage in politics,” the MP.

Ndindi Nyoro, a Kiharu lawmaker, stated that Kenyans had made their decision, which the Supreme Court had validated. He did, however, urge President-elect William Ruto not to ignore the people or regions that did not vote for him.
