Acting IG Applauds Police Conduct

The Ag. Inspector General of police Noor Y. Gabow has expressed the satisfaction of the office of the Inspector General of police to all officers for commendable service delivery during the just concluded election.

In a letter to the National Police Service, the Ag said that the service performed exemplarily proved to the world that the NPS had collectively made a turnaround and is primed to tackle the abounding 21st-century policing challenges. 

He further said that the success of the election was a testament to the long hours of preparation undertaken in an effort to secure the election and the Nation.

Quoting H.E Jakaya Kikwete, the former president of Tanzania who led the East African Community observer mission in Kenya, the Ag said that Jakaya paid a glowing tribute to the service for its professionalism.

The Ag however welcomed the move by His Excellency Dr William Ruto during his inauguration on the financial independence of the office of Inspector General of police.

He said that the move would go a long way to empower the service plan and provide services in a timely, proactive and transformative way.

He urged all the police officers to serve and protect the Nation, its citizens and their property with the consent and support of the community.
