Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza Appoints Husband to Two County Jobs

Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza has appointed Murega Baichu, her husband, to two county positions.

Baichu was named patron of Meru Youth Service and ambassador to Meru’s hustlers.

Mwangaza made the announcement at the governor’s office while unveiling her Cabinet.

She did, however, state that Baichu will not be paid for the tasks assigned to him today, Friday, September 30.

“His excellency first gentleman Murega of Meru county currently holds the ambassaodorial role by the Ministry of Tourism and when you see him there he is an apostle.

“Today we are giving him a job without pay and allowances. He will be a volunteer in the docket of Meru Youth Service,” Mwanganza announced.

She explained that her husband will assist her in carrying out her duties as county boss and will be the voice of the hustlers in her administration.

“I have also given him another powerful role as Meru Hustlers Ambassador. He will be reporting to the governor so when you see him with his cap at Governor’s office, just know he will be representing the hustlers,” the governor stated.

The announcement by Mwangaza comes days after the husband was pictured attending meetings at the government office.
