The President was soon joined by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Moses Wetangula, and his Senate counterpart, Amason Kingi, as well as other key leaders.

“That the House be recorded for the exposition of public policy contained in the Address of the President delivered on Thursday, September 29,” read part of the notice from the National Assembly.
The MPs also agreed to sit until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, Thursday, October 6, and Tuesday, October 11, in accordance with Standing Order 30 (3).
Among the key issues addressed by the lawmakers were the nomination of Cabinet Secretaries and the credibility of the Kenya Kwanza government’s policies.
