An order preventing a 30-year-old National Treasury officer from transferring two properties valued at more than Ksh. 8 million has been obtained by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
This follows the filing of an application alleging that the two properties located in Dagoretti and Naivasha were obtained through the abuse of public funds.
The National Treasury’s Tracy Njoki Kingé, a finance official, is accused of misusing public funds and abusing her position by accepting superfluous and facilitation allowances.
In order to have the money in her different accounts at i&m, and Cooperative Banks frozen while investigations are ongoing, the commission sought orders from the High Court in June of this year.
