The Kenyatta National Hospital has asked the public to identify and collect 233 unclaimed bodies within seven days.
The bodies are mostly newborns from the labor ward and newborn unit, according to a public notice posted on the hospital’s website.
According to the list, no one has claimed the bodies since January 27, 2022.
“At its Farewell Home, Kenyatta National Hospital has a number of unclaimed bodies.”
According to Public Health Act Cap 242, interested members of the public are therefore asked to identify and collect the bodies within 7 days, failing which the hospital will seek court authorization to dispose of them,” the notice states.
