Sex Worker Denies Harassing, Stealing Client’s Smartphone

A sex worker has been arraigned in court for allegedly stealing a mobile phone from her client.

Jane Kirigo Nderitu, a sex worker was arraigned in court with charges of stealing a mobile phone from Joshua Mawira.

Joshua Mawira (the complainant) on November 3, 2022 arrived in Nairobi from Eldoret, he went to one of his relatives within the City.

However, to his disappointment, when he arrived, he found that the relative had been visited by his wife and there was no room for him.

He, therefore, decided to go and look for a guest room to spend the night in. He went to Latema road and that is when hell broke loose.

He was confronted by two sex workers who operate within that area. One of the sex workers approached him and from the front and got hold of him started hugging and caressing him.

She was joined by her colleague who hugged the man and caressed him from behind.

During the romantic affair, the lady caressing him from the front managed to snatch his TECNO CAMON 15 valued at Ksh 15,000.

He immediately noticed his phone was missing and started demanding for his phone, but the ladies declined to return. He went to a point of pleading with them to return the phone, but his pleadings fell on deaf ears.

He later reported the matter to the police where one of the ladies was arrsted and charged with the offence of stealing.

Appearing before Resident Magistrate Caroline Muthoni, Jane denied the charges and was released on a bond of Ksh 50,000 with an alternative cash bail of Ksh 20,000.
