Truth Behind Boy Stuck To A Hardware Door

A 15-year-old boy got stuck while attempting to break into a scrap metal shop in Tala, Machakos county.

Matungulu sub county Police Commander Peter Omondi said the 2:00 am incident was reported to Tala police station.

“He was trying to steal in a steel shop through the door lock aperture. However, sacks of steel fell on his hand while his hand was still inside.

“The sacks were very heavy and he was unable to remove them, hence he got stuck until he was rescued in the morning,” Omondi told the UZALENDO on Tuesday.

He said the young boy lacks guidance.

It is believed that the boy was breaking into the shop with the intention of stealing the steel metals.

Eyewitnesses said they couldn’t help the boy get out of the door where he was stuck. He was left squatting until morning.

Some of the residents claimed the boy might have been in the company of other assailants, possibly adults during the incident.

“I suspect he was not alone, maybe he was with some adults who were directing him and they escaped when things got thick. He can’t think of all this by himself,” a resident said.
