A father facing incest accusations for defiling his two biological kids appealed with his wife to dismiss the case in a Mombasa court during the case hearing.
Christopher Odhiambo, who appeared before Mombasa Senior Principal Magistrate Vincent Adet, expressed affection for his estranged wife and requested the court to dismiss the case so that the parties may settle out of court.
The accused informed his wife, who was testifying against him, that despite their divorce, he was still deeply in love with her.
He also asked the court for some private time with his wife to discuss how they would address the incest charge levelled against him outside of court, claiming that he knows the lady still loves him.
“Naomba utoe hii mashitaka twende tukagumze nyumbani hii ni kesi ya Nyumbani kati yangu na watoto wetu Mimi nakupenda na najua unanipenda pia.I respectfully beg that you reconsider these allegations “He stated.
In a swift response, the trial magistrate cautioned Odhiambo from meddling with the witnesses in the case, as well as issuing a strong warning that the state had an interest in the case, and therefore his court was not willing to accept or tolerate his ideas.
