James Cameron’s Avatar which was released on December 16 is one its way to emerging as a super hit at the box office.
Amid all the highs the film has been achieving, a tragic incident happened in Andhra Pradesh where a man died from a heart attack while watching the film.
Reportedly, a man from the Kakinada district, suffered a massive cardiac arrest while watching the movie. The victim’s name is Lakshmireddy Srinu. He was accompanied by his younger brother Raju. They had gone to watch the film at a movie theatre in Peddapuram.
Eyewitnesses said that Srinu suddenly collapsed while watching the movie. His brother then took him to the Peddapuram Government Hospital, where he was declared dead after the check-up results.
According to the doctors, as per the past medical records, he had high blood pressure and excitement when watching Avatar, and the symptoms of BP were triggered, which resulted in a massive heart attack.
A similar incident had earlier taken place in 2010, where a 42-year-old man died when watching the first part of ‘Avatar’ in Taiwan.
