The NGO Council of Kenya condemns with the strongest terms possible banditry attacks and any other forms of insecurity against innocent and peace-loving citizens in part of the Republic of Kenya.
In a statement by its chairman Stephen Cheboi, the council called for peace in every part of the nation and urged the government to deal firmly with criminals terrorizing innocent citizens.
“The recent killings of school children in Tot, Kerio Valley and insecurity in other parts of the nation must be condemned by all peace-loving Kenyans and leaders. We urge all leaders at all levels to come together and work with Members of the public to identify criminals threatening the peace of others,” Cheboi noted.
He further urged Kenyans to welcome the year with hope that this new year will come with good things for the betterment of their lives.
“We urge the government to work to help citizens that need much support to boost their lives, Peace among all Kenyans is paramount.”
The NGO Council further appealed to the Ruto-led government, all Non- Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and other Development Partners in Kenya this year to initiate sustainable development programmes geared towards improving the living standards of the citizens.
