Eight people have been confirmed dead and three others injured in cattle rustling in Yell Kurkum Lokesheni village of Kargi in Laisamis constituency, Marsabit County.
Confirming the incident, Marsabit county police commander Robinson Mboloi said the incident occurred at around 10 a.m.
Among those killed were three children and five men.
Mboloi claimed that at least 15 gunmen stole camels and an unknown number of goats.
However, police are continuing to hunt down the perpetrators of the treason.
Two of the injured were also taken to the Marsabit referral hospital for treatment.
