Arsenal are allegedly in early talks to sign winger Leandro Trossard, who has been linked with a move to Newcastle United.
The Gunners have already signed personal terms with the 28-year-old from Brighton. Mikel Arteta’s team is now in talks with Brighton and is preparing an official bid.
Arsenal’s interest in Trossard comes after they failed to sign Mykhailo Mudryk, who eventually signed for Chelsea for £88.5 million.
As a result, the Premier League leaders have been forced to explore elsewhere for striking reinforcements, and have even been connected with long-term Newcastle target Moussa Diaby.
Newcastle were heavily linked with Trossard heading into the January transfer window.
