Lang’ata MP Jalang’o Kicked Out Of Azimio Meeting In Machakos

Lang’ata lawmaker Phelix Odiwour, popularly known as Jalang’o, has been kicked out of Azimio’s Parliamentary Group meeting which is currently taking place at Maanzoni Lodge in Machakos County

On Thursday morning, a commotion erupted at the facility after a group of men barred Jalang’o from entering the meeting hall.

The MP had just arrived at the venue when a group of men attempted to bar him from entering the hall.

Some of the men who tried to block Jalang’o could also be heard yelling at the MP to go to State House.

Following the brief commotion, the MP was allowed in, only to be escorted out minutes later.

After being ejected, Jalang’o told the press that one of Raila Odinga’s security members asked him to leave the hall.

“When I came in, a few boys tried to block me but I was later allowed in. When Raila walked in, his close security told me to get out,” Jalang’o said.

The MP’s predicament has been linked to a meeting he had with President William Ruto on Monday.

“I can’t regret meeting Ruto, I had gone there on my own capacity, and he called me for development issues,” Jalang’o explained.

Asked on whether he would apologise for taking a different direction from his party, Jalang’o said; “There is no apology about it, I went there for development.”

When asked if he would apologise for departing from his party, Jalang’o stated, “There is no apology about it, I went there for development.”
