The body of former Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha has been airlifted in a military chopper to his home village in Yala ahead of burial.
The body was airlifted from Nairobi aboard a Kenya Airforce helicopter.
The chopper landed at the Yala Township Primary shortly after 2 pm Friday.
A somber mood engulfed residents of Yala who were on call to receive the body of the late professor in his hometown.
Many mourners are expected to attend his burial on Saturday at his home in Gem, Siaya County.
