This comes after a community in Mandera county together with the family of a man who was stabbed to death by a foreigner asked authorities to move with speed and arrest their kins killer.

Today, the family of the late Hashim Okash Mohammed stormed the office of the county Criminal investigation officer Pius Gitari who promised to apprehend the actual killer who fled to Somalia.

On February 1, 2023, Hashim Okash Mohammed was killed, and the murderers disappeared in thin air.

The killer at large is said to have exited Kenya to Somalia through the Kenya-Somalia border.

The DCIO and CCIO Mandera confirm that Maalim Nur who is believed to have taken part in the murder of the deceased is in police custody under miscellaneous application to detain him pending charging.

The suspect is expected to be produced at Garissa High Court on Monday to face murder charges.
