Ekuru Aukot, the leader of the Thirdway Alliance, has stated that the bipartisan talks between President William Ruto and Raila Odinga will fail.
Aukot stated in a tweet about the state of affairs in Kenya that Kenya’s parliament is not in a better position to solve the issues at hand.
He described the talks as a sham and a process that will most likely yield no results.
“The phony “bipartisan” dialogue proposed by two conniving political liars on both sides to “address the national crisis” cannot take place in Parliament because Parliament is simply dead, and MPs have been mortgaged,” Aukot tweeted.
Aukot believes Kenyans must reconsider their options ahead of the 2027 election because bipartisan talks will not result in a long-term solution.
“This necessitates a broad-based national dialogue to find long-term solutions.” Parliament is unable to do so. Kenyans should seriously consider voting in factory settings in 2027.”
He warned that if Kenya continues to make the same mistakes year after year, nothing will change for the better.
“To avoid doubt, the last 20 years have seen the same faces change political parties like chameleons to be in power.”
Albert Einstein called this “insanity” because we keep electing the same people and expecting different results. “If we don’t change, we’re doomed,” he said.
Aukot at the same time expressed concern over the state of affairs in the country saying they are worrying.
