A middle aged man has been arraigned in court for stalking a lady and stealing her gold chain.
Martin Githinji Kimani was charged before Milimani Chief Magistrate Lucas Onyina where the prosecution alleged that he stole a gold chain valued at Ksh 120,000 the property of Kiden Sawala Laki.
The accused is said to have stalked Sawala Laki on May 9,2023 along Latema road in Nairobi pretending to have lost direction.
He requested to indulge the lady for direction assistance as he claimed he was new in the city.
The lady played a good Samaritan role and volunteered to show him directions only to fall in the hands of a thug who escaped with her gold chain.
The suspect denied the charges and was released on a Ksh 100,000 cash bail.
