Dj Fatxo Writes Letter To The DCI

DJ Fatxo, a suspect in the murder of one Jeff Mwathi has written a letter to DPP Haji demanding his office to shed light on the case.

DJ Fatxo through his lawyers informed DPP Haji that he knows that there was an autopsy that was conducted by the Chief Government Pathologist on the 31st day of March, 2023.

This according to the DJ, followed the initial independent autopsy that had been conducted soon after the death.

DJ Fatxo told the DPP that pursuant to the postmortem, about three weeks ago, it became a matter of public knowledge that the investigations were completed and the case file was forwarded to his office.

“It was therefore anticipated that due to the great public interest in this matter, your office would expeditiously but professionally interrogate the file and give recommendations that would determine the next cause of action in the matter.” reads the latter.

DJ Fatxo claims that over the past one week, there has been a lot of concern building up by the day as to the non-communication by the ODPP of either the status of the matter or whether a decision has been made by his office.

Further, the DJ demands to know if no decision has been made, then when is the decision likely to be made.

According to the DJ, the latest concerns were from the parents of the late Jeff Mwathi and the same were prominently featured in the local dailies (print media, social media and mainstream television stations in the country).

“We also note with concern that the delay in the discharge of your mandate has led to some unfortunate insinuations from the said parents and we believe that any further delays may cement such perceptions which from the position of the parents may be plausibly understood and consequently be propelled to the public.” laments DJ Fatxo.

“We believe that the panacea to the anxiety that has built up in the minds of the family, friends and relatives of the late Mr. Mwathi on one part, and also the suffering and tribulations by our client on the other part, is the expedient discharge of your mandate and the communication of the same.” said the Lawyers.

He therefore beseeched DPP Haji’s office to communicate and make available the decision to the family.
