Last evening, Peninah Malonza, the cabinet secretary for tourism, wildlife, and heritage, was joined by Prof. Edward Kisiang’ani, the principal secretary for broadcasting and telecommunications, at the official launch of China Media Group’s (CMG) “Twinkle Star Project” Africa animation exhibition tour.

In order to promote cultural collaboration between China and Africa, youngsters also participated in a painting competition on social themes during the event.

CS Malonza said that the initiative will present a chance to showcase Kenya as a travel destination and grow arrivals from the Chinese source market, increasing Kenya’s tourist revenues.

For his part, PS Prof Kisiang’ani praised China for the cordial ties between its citizens and Kenya, noting that the Twinkle Star Project will present a chance for increased engagement and cooperation between the two nations.
